Successful and Safe School Year!

Learn, learn as fast as you can. You can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man! Books are timeless, just like the holiday seasons or the start of a new school year. What better way to open school with a  gingerbread man book? The Gingerbread Man Loose in the School is the ideal story to introduce new students to the layout of a school as well as introduce them to the school staff!

In the story,  a class leaves for recess, their just-baked Gingerbread Man is left behind to cool. Being the smart cookie that he is, the Gingerbread Man heads out to find them. Running, sliding, and skipping, all through the school meeting several school staff members - has a mishap and ends up in the nurse’s office.

          and safe school year!!

2021 August Reading

As in the past, children continue to be faced with social unrest,  a pandemic crisis, and returning back to school after a year and a half away from their classmates. Teaching children about racism was once teaching children to not see color; however, in a way, doing so diminishes the past that built each one of us. Books provide the perfect avenue to teach children of all ages -exploration of differences, arise pride in our culture, and create a society of respect through honesty and acceptance. Check out the books below about some pressing issues and the start of school.

All books may be found in your local school library or Amazon.

Happy Reading!
