The Season of Giving

This year, more than ever, the gift of giving and service to others is so important. We are all faced with a plethora of typical stresses daily; however, now each stress is exacerbated by the uncertainty, fear, and anxiety over the coronavirus. Financial strain, social distancing, and lost loved ones will greatly impact family Christmas traditions leaving unmet desires in its wake. Now is a time of need and a perfect time to teach the importance of giving and service. We must be creative and careful in our actions.

Although we won’t be hugging a teacher, we can make them homemade stress balls. We won’t visit the nursing home to sing with elderly; but, we can decorate their windows with Christmas cheer. We can say thank you more often to essential workers. We can even donate our old toys to families we know who have hit hard times helping with financial strain and the struggle to social distance while shopping deals. The method of teaching life lessons may change from time to time but the moral mustn't be lost.

I wish you and your families a very healthy and happy holiday!  As you celebrate the holiday season with immediate family, please send a thought and a prayer to all of our military men and women who cannot be with their families during the holidays.  Don’t forget to rest and relax in preparation for a new and hopeful year.

Merry Reading!

Run run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me, I’m gingerbread man! Books are timeless, just like the holiday season. When done right Christmas teaches us about the gift of giving, spreading kindness, and showing love to those around us. What better way to teach these morals than the most beloved form of teaching - reading books. The following books are appropriate for K-2nd but will, most definitely, be loved by all!  Enjoy!

All books can be found at Amazon.

December 2020 Giveaways

The holiday always inspires kindness and a love for giving to those we appreciate; yet this often costs. We know this time of year is expensive for all families with buying gifts, excess food, decor, as well as coats, heat, and other necessities. Adding new and exciting lesson resources to purchase for the holiday seasons can seem like a real strain on teachers.  With this in mind, our group thought it fitting to sponsor giveaways during the month of Christmas to provide some lucky teacher(s) with a gift card to purchase resources for this holiday season AND some sales!

The first giveaway starts December 4 and ends December 12.  Simply enter here:

The second one starts on December 6 and ends December 13.  All you have to do is enter here:

Any updates for upcoming sales and giveaways will be added so check back!
Good Luck!
