New Year's Day 2023 Products

Are you ready to hit the reset button for the New Year? After the well-deserved rest over the Festive Season, it is important to return back in January prepared. January can be a difficult month both for students and teachers. Kids might be tired after the break so try not to plan important content for that first week. Make sure that you plan things that are engaging but avoid planning to do as much as you normally would. Use these New Year resources to review a  variety of skills and help your kids to a great start to 2023.

A great theme for this month is to explore New Year’s Eve and Day. Kids are fascinated by the countdown and using a digital timer will turn transitions during January into a great starting point for discussions about New Year Celebrations. Also, using a digital timer is a great way to support students to focus their attention.
Include activities that are hands-on while at the same time building and revising skills. Color by Code activities is a perfect way to revise skills and get back into classroom activities. A product that combines math skills with reading is useful to have in January.

Directed drawing activities are popular and kids love to include their own drawings in research projects. Use a Fact Booklet about New Year’s Day when your students have settled back to school. A perfect way to practice reading and writing skills and to use the new drawing skills. You will be amazed at the finished booklet filled with great drawings of balloons, party hats and streamers.

Why not start 2023 with a design project? Encourage kids to be creative and use their curiosity to design and decorate a place to celebrate New Year’s Eve/Day. A project that will set the tone for an exciting term.
