Migration Fun!

Since my kindergarten classroom theme is a Safari one, I revolve my activities around animals.  In January we Hibernate and in June we Migrate.  This involves presenting to the parents - an end of year program to show them all the things we’ve learned in kindergarten.  We sing, sign, dance, read books and share our writing journals.  The children honor their peers by selecting those that have worked the hardest and who have been the kindest to the entire class by selecting them to carry our animal sticks.  See below!    Not only do I center my activities and special events around animals – I also use animal prints for my classroom d├ęcor.  Will be sharing that in a Back to School post.

Also check out more pictures of our animal safari – a popular activity with the kids.
