As in the past, children continue to be faced with social unrest, a pandemic crisis, and returning back to school after a year and a half away from their classmates. Teaching children about racism was once teaching children to not see color; however, in a way, doing so diminishes the past that built each one of us. Books provide the perfect avenue to teach children of all ages -exploration of differences, arise pride in our culture, and create a society of respect through honesty and acceptance.
