Learning
through books blooms a love for reading and
as teachers, we pray that each and
everyone of our students develops this love. The holidays of May -
Mothers Day, Cinco de Mayo, and Memorial Day, be especially emphasized
through these uncertain times. We will celebrate the mothers who have continued
loving us through becoming teachers, daycare providers, and full time
moms. We will
also remember and honor military loved ones who sacrificed their lives for us
in the midst of uncertain times when many military families are sending loved
ones to assist in the fight against the coronavirus.
My favorite picture books
are appropriate for all ages; however, the following are appropriate for K-2
readers. I hope your May reading brings love, appreciation, and remembrance to
your students’ hearts.
