Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Although, many miles separate us from our families, Thanksgiving unites us around a common ground - to be thankful for the things that matter: family.

Many of us are far from our families and will not be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with them, so please keep us close to your hearts and thoughts and also remember those who serve our nation and who may not be able to be with their families this Thanksgiving. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers. I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

Time to Be Thankful

For some reason this year has seemed to move at a frantic pace. It seems like we take one step forward and then two steps back and it is already the middle of November!

We were having a hard time getting in the “thankful” spirit when planning our Native American project when we came across this prayer:

Hold on to what is good,
Even if it's a handful of earth.

Hold on to what you believe,
Even if it's a tree that stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do,
Even if it's a long way from here.

Hold on to your life,
Even if it's easier to let go.

Hold on to my hand,
Even if someday I'll be gone away from you.

Pueblo Prayer

So we are going to hold on to our sanity by remembering to hold onto the things that are important family, friends and those little people who enter our classrooms and our hearts each day.

Are You Ready to Vote?

The upcoming presidential election has gotten a lot of press and not all of it is good. So we decided to give voting a positive spin and bring back some of our forefathers who fought to give us the right to vote. We are giving them a chance to vote for something they would like to bring back from our time. What do you think it would be: a cell phone, a microwave, an airplane or maybe a car?

We can hardly wait to find out which object will get the most votes!
